Unidentified persons have hacked several accounts on the social network Gettr, created by Jason Miller, a former press secretary and assistant to former US President Donald Trump. This was announced on Sunday, July 4, by the Business Insider portal.

According to him, the accounts of former Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and Stephen Bannon, who was previously Trump's aide, as well as other persons from the entourage of the 45th American president, were hacked. In addition, the account of the head of the new social network was also attacked.

A user who calls himself JubaBaghdad on the Internet claimed responsibility for the attack. He changed the names of the accounts to calls for the "liberation of Palestine." He himself claims that he did it "for the fun of it," because it was technically easy to hack.

The authors of the article noted that a few hours after the attack, the accounts were returned to their original names.

On July 1, it became known that the team of ex-President Trump launched a new social network Gettr as an alternative to the existing ones.

The new internet platform is positioning its mission as "fighting the culture of abolition" and will promote "common sense", "defend free speech", as well as fight "monopolies in social networks and create a real market for ideas." Gettr is headed by former Trump spokesman Jason Miller.

The degree of involvement in the project of the 45th US president himself is unclear. However, presumably, this service should become the very platform where the former head of the White House will communicate with his supporters online.
