The Dutch prosecutor's office found out the citizenship of two passengers of the crashed flight MH17, they were citizens of the Netherlands.
According to sources, the remains of people were not found.
"They are both citizens of the Netherlands," said Brechtier van de Mosdejk, a spokesman for the Dutch prosecutor's office.
The Malaysian Boeing crashed in July 2014, the liner was flying MH17 on the route Amsterdam - Kuala Lumpur, but it did not reach the end point, crashing in Donbass. All 298 people on board the plane died. Ukrainian authorities have blamed the militia for the crash, but representatives of the self-proclaimed republics have said they do not have the means to shoot down the liner at such a height.
The investigation stated that Boeing was shot down from the Buk anti-aircraft missile system, which allegedly belonged to the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Russian Armed Forces from Kursk. Russia denies involvement in the plane crash.
The trial in the case of the crash of flight MH17 began in the Netherlands on March 9, 2020. Russian citizens Igor Girkin, Sergei Dubinsky, Oleg Pulatov and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko are involved in this case.
