Deaf-mute American Brady Mystic from Colorado has filed a lawsuit against police officers for beating and subsequent arrest. Reported by the New York Post.

In 2019, a US citizen parked in the wrong place near a police car. He got out of the car and went about his business. Two officers followed him, trying to stop the intruder, but he did not hear them due to his deafness. When the staff caught up with Mystic, he tried to explain with the help of gestures that he could not read lips and did not hear anything.

The police interpreted the active gestures of the silent Mystic as an attempted attack and carried out a harsh arrest with the use of a stun gun. After that, the man was taken to a cell and tried to be imprisoned for four months. However, the court refused this, since it became clear that Mystic was deaf and simply did not understand the police orders.

After the incident, the American filed a lawsuit against law enforcement officers, but the judge refused to satisfy his claim, as he considered the actions of the employees to be appropriate. The mystic promised to seek justice and compensation for pecuniary damage for "physical and emotional harm, pain and suffering."
