An exposition dedicated to the events that took place in the Belarusian capital in August 2020 has opened in the Minsk Palace of Independence, the official residence of the President of Belarus.

The Pool of the First Telegram channel writes about this, BelTA informs. First of all, the attention of visitors is attracted by a picture with a fragment of the events of 23 August, where the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko with a machine gun in his hands together with his son Nikolai are near the Palace of Independence. The exhibition presents this machine gun, beret, as well as the uniform and symbol of the OMON, a sculpture from the special forces and a flag from the patriots of Belarus. As the newspaper notes, it is already clear where on the next tour of the palace there will be a queue of those wishing to take a photo as a souvenir.

Earlier it became known that the picture, which was painted by the daughter of one of the employees of the Presidential Security Service, was presented to Lukashenka for his birthday in 2020. The head of Belarus ordered to place the painting in the Palace of Independence.
