Japan will provide Tajikistan with about $ 2.8 million for vaccines as part of the Early Childhood Survival and Development project, the press center of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population said.
"The vaccines provided by this project will definitely contribute to the healthy daily life of children across the country. I believe that this project will keep children safe from various infectious diseases. I am very pleased to note that the governments of both countries share the same slogan:" Nobody should be left unattended, "the Japanese Ambassador to Dushanbe Takayuki Miyashita said at the ceremony.
With the support of the Japanese government, over the past five years, UNICEF has purchased and delivered to Tajikistan the necessary medicines, vaccines and refrigeration equipment for the prevention and treatment of common childhood diseases for a total of $ 5.35 million.
